- Around 7: vital forces awaken and rapid growth begins
- Around 14: the emotional body emerges, bringing turbulence
- Around 21: the true spiritual “I am” takes hold
- Later cycles mark second births of body, vitality, emotion, and mind
These stages explain adolescence, emotional upheaval, maturity, and the periods of philosophical clarity later in life. What society treats as arbitrary ages are shown to be deeply esoteric thresholds.
Mineral, Plant, and Animal Within Man
Hall emphasizes that the human being contains all kingdoms of nature:
- Bones are mineral
- Hair is plant life
- Instincts and drives reflect animal evolution
Ancient myths describing little creatures living within man were symbolic recognitions of this truth. Each human body is a living universe, inhabited by countless forms of life coordinated by consciousness.
The Twelve Gates of the Body
Scriptures speak of sacred cities with twelve gates. Esoterically, these gates are the apertures of the human body. Seven are visible, five concealed. Ancient philosophers used this symbolism to teach restraint, awareness, and discipline.
The human head itself becomes a divine glyph:
- Eyes as the Father principle
- Nostrils as the Son and vehicles of life force
- Mouth as the Holy Spirit, creator through the spoken word
The seven vowels issued by the mouth correspond to the seven creative powers, the spirits before the throne, shaping worlds through sound and vibration.

Occult embryology reframes human life as a sacred unfolding, not a random biological accident. It explains why myths, scriptures, and symbols across civilizations describe the same patterns using different languages.
